Customized specialist application for the Voigt ropery

The Seilerei Voigt is an established medium-sized company in the field of rope and lifting technology. In a market where quality, safety and short response times are crucial, it was clear that the existing ERP landscape covered sales and accounting, but production planning and field service lived in Excel spreadsheets, Outlook calendars and heads. This is exactly where the collaboration with Laracraft comes in.

Initial situation: Strong ERP, missing specialist application above it

The WinLine ERP is the central source for master data, documents and accounting at Seilerei Voigt. As volumes increased, it became apparent that the operational processes around it (production scheduling, deployment planning for service technicians, shipping logistics, sales analysis) were too fragmented. Evaluations were only possible with considerable manual effort and information was spread across several systems. The company decided not to replace the ERP system, but rather to add an individual specialist application that would map everyday operations.

One interface for the entire operational business

Together with Seilerei Voigt, Laracraft designed and developed a customized platform and supported its productive use. WinLine remains the leading source of master data, the new specialist application docks neatly onto it and relieves employees of the manual tasks that have no place there.

Production list and order orchestration

The heart of the system is the production list with calendar-based order planning. Orders are distributed to shifts and employees by drag-and-drop, capacities are visible live, remaining quantities are automatically recognized and continued. Large orders can be split into partial batches with proportional quantity distribution, manual orders can be managed cleanly alongside WinLine orders. Rewind orders**, which are particularly typical for the industry, are automatically recognized from the master data based on defined article characteristics and scheduled with their own order number logic, without a person having to create them manually.

Deployment plan for service technicians

The deployment plan bundles the entire field service organization in one calendar. Technicians are scheduled in a capacity-conscious manner, master data such as vehicle, location and specializations (such as wheel changes) are stored centrally, absences and vacations are directly linked. Planned assignments are automatically transferred to the existing time recording system, changes trigger a new export, cancellations are clearly tracked. Every change to an assignment remains traceable via the history.

Shipping logistics and packing lists

A shipping calendar shows all delivery dates at a glance, delivery documents are synchronized and supplemented from the WinLine data. Packing lists can be generated from the shipping lists as PDF files** at the touch of a button, optionally also for warehouse-neutral items. Media discontinuities between ERP and dispatch processing have thus disappeared from everyday life.

Receipt and document flow

Quotations, order confirmations, invoices and orders from WinLine are available in the new interface for reading and evaluation. A separate view of not yet invoiced orders makes it possible to see where invoicing is lagging behind. Comments can be managed across document types so that context is not lost between systems.

Sales and document dashboards

Powerful dashboards allow central key figures to be analyzed at the touch of a button for the first time. Annual and monthly sales are displayed in a direct comparison with the previous year (YoY), visible in green and red. The analysis can be broken down to the lowest level of the article hierarchy and filtered by sales employee or time period; recurring views can be saved as favorites. This means that decisions are no longer made on instinct, but on the basis of reliable data.

Roles, rights and audit log

A finely granular role and rights management ensures that management, sales, scheduling and the workshop only work with the functions and data sections that are relevant to their tasks. Changes to scheduled assignments and orders are logged in an audit-proof manner so that, in case of doubt, it is always possible to trace who adjusted what and when.

Architecture: Clean separation instead of intervention in the ERP

Technically, the specialist application runs as an independent system (Laravel, Filament, Livewire). The connection to WinLine is made via a read-only interface with local data mirroring. This means that the interface works efficiently on mirrored data without burdening the ERP, and the integration layer remains open for later extensions.

Cooperation at eye level

The company particularly emphasizes the professional, pleasant and cooperative partnership with the Laracraft team. Transparent communication, regular coordination and pragmatic solution proposals characterized the course of the project. The close involvement of the specialist departments at Seilerei Voigt ensured that the system was not developed without taking actual needs into account, but instead made everyday work easier.

Result: A digital backbone alongside the ERP

Over the course of the partnership, a real digital backbone has developed alongside the WinLine ERP from an initially manageable inventory. Production planning, field service, dispatch and evaluation now run together in a standardized interface, manual effort has been noticeably reduced and data quality has increased. This puts Seilerei Voigt in a good position to continue growing, develop new business areas and operate confidently in an increasingly digital market environment.
